`63 FJ45

I purchased my 1963 FJ45 from my uncle in 1993, when I was 19. The first major project I did was with the help of a few good books. Most circuits were in the cruiser were no longer protected by fuses or circuit breakers, and the headlamps had a 4 volt drop to them. I tore out all the old wire and redesigned a new harness that used circuit breakers instead of fuses for all but the electronics. The next project was to rebuild the carbuerator. After that it was off to make it a more trail worthy Cruiser. June of 1994 Earl Warden did the spring over conversion. July, 1994 I had four Cooper tires mounted to compliment the lift, just in time to run Barret Lake Trail. The winter of 1996 I started converting it over to four wheel disks. The rear was converted using a kit from TSM and the front brakes were converted to late model Toyota pickups. All new tubing was run and a new power brake booster and master cylindamaster cylindar were installed. They were then mated to a Wilwood proportioning valve. In October Warden's welded on the Toyota pickup knuckles on so I could complete front disk brake conversion.
